Coffee with Redneck Cinderella #10: Quit Waiting for "Someday" Real conversations. Real life. Real coffee. Every Monday morning. ☕❤️
Good mornin', bestie! ☕
Can we talk about this mysterious little place called...
"Someday?"
Y'all ever notice how many things we put there?
Someday I'll take that trip.
Someday I'll start the garden.
Someday I'll call that friend.
Someday I'll write the book.
Someday I'll learn to paint.
Someday I'll wear the good outfit instead of saving it.
Someday I'll use the fancy candles.
Someday I'll start living.
Then one day it hit me...
"Someday" isn't actually on the calendar.
It keeps moving.
Every time we get close to it, it scoots a little farther away.
Kind of like trying to catch one of my chickens when they decide they suddenly have Olympic-level speed. 🤣
I used to save things for "special occasions."
The pretty notebook.
The fancy lotion.
The nice dishes.
The expensive candle that smelled so good I was afraid to burn it.
You know what usually happened?
They sat there.
Sometimes for years.
Waiting on a day that never came.
One afternoon I lit the candle for absolutely no reason.
No company.
No holiday.
No celebration.
Just because it smelled good.
And do you know what I realized?
Tuesday is reason enough.
We spend so much time waiting for the perfect moment that we miss perfectly good moments happening every single day.
Wear the cute shirt.
Use Grandma's china.
Drink your coffee from the mug that makes you smile.
Plant the flowers.
Start the hobby.
Take the picture.
Laugh too loud.
Tell people you love them.
Life isn't made up of huge, life-changing events every week.
Most of it is ordinary Tuesdays.
And honestly?
That's where the good stuff lives.
Jesus didn't only show up in the big moments.
He shared meals.
He walked dusty roads.
He sat with people.
He celebrated weddings.
He noticed the ordinary.
Maybe that's our reminder today.
Stop waiting for life to become extraordinary before you start enjoying it.
God has already placed little gifts all around you.
Sometimes we just have to slow down enough to notice them.
☕ Coffee Question of the Week
What's one thing you've been saving for "someday?"
A vacation?
A recipe?
A pair of shoes?
That fancy candle? 😂
Tell me... and maybe this week we can all stop waiting together.
☕ One Last Sip...
You don't need a special occasion to enjoy the life God has already given you.
Today's pretty special all by itself.
Light the candle.
Wear the good shirt.
Call your friend.
Take the picture.
And don't wait for "someday" to start making memories.
Because someday has a funny way of turning into "I wish I had."
See ya next Monday, bestie... the coffee's on me. ☕💕
