Coffee with Redneck Cinderella #9: The Laundry Can Wait Real conversations. Real life. Real coffee. Every Monday morning. ☕❤️

Good mornin', bestie!

I have a confession.

There is currently a basket of clean laundry sitting in my house.

Now before y'all start judging...

It has been folded.

Mostly.

Okay... some of it has been folded.

Fine. One towel is folded. 🤣

The rest is just hanging out in the basket, waiting on somebody to remember they own clothes.

Honestly, at this point everybody in my house knows where their socks are. They're just in the "temporary dresser"... also known as the laundry basket.

And somehow...

We've all survived.

Isn't it funny how we convince ourselves everything has to be done right now?

The dishes.

The laundry.

The emails.

The weeds.

The grocery list.

The phone calls.

The twenty-seven tabs open in our brain that never seem to close.

Sometimes we get so busy trying to finish life that we forget to actually live it.

A while back I caught myself rushing through a conversation because I wanted to go mark something off my to-do list.

Halfway through, I realized...

The person sitting across from me mattered a whole lot more than whatever was written on that piece of paper.

Laundry will always be there.

Dust will always come back.

The grass will always need mowing.

And somehow... no matter how many times I buy groceries, these people keep expecting to eat every single day. 🤣

But the moments?

Those don't wait.

Your kids won't always ask you to watch their latest dance they've been practicing.

Your friend won't always call just because they had a rough day and needed someone to listen.

Your parents won't always be here to tell that same story you've heard a hundred times.

One day, you'd probably give just about anything to hear it one more time.

Jesus was never too busy to stop for people.

Even when He had somewhere to go, He noticed the person everyone else overlooked.

What if we slowed down enough to do the same?

I'm not saying ignore your responsibilities.

Trust me... eventually somebody's gonna need those clean underwear. 😂

I'm just saying...

Don't let your to-do list become more important than the people God put on your path.

At the end of your life, nobody's going to stand around saying,

"She sure did keep an immaculate laundry room."

They're going to remember how you loved them.

How you made them laugh.

How you showed up.

How you made them feel.

That's the kind of legacy worth leaving.

Coffee Question of the Week

What's one chore you've been putting way too much pressure on yourself to finish?

Or better yet...

What's one memory you've made recently because you decided the chore could wait?

I'd love to hear it.

One Last Sip...

Fold the laundry.

Don't fold the laundry.

The world will keep spinning either way.

But if someone you love asks you to sit on the porch for a while...

Take the porch.

The laundry can wait.

See ya next Monday, bestie... the coffee's on me. ☕💕
