Coffee with Redneck Cinderella #4: Stop Apologizing for Existing Real conversations. Real life. Real coffee. Every Monday morning. ☕❤️

Good mornin', bestie! ☕💕

Pour yourself another cup because I think we're about to step on some toes... including my own.

Have you ever apologized... for literally existing?

"I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry to bother you."

"I'm sorry I asked."

"I'm sorry I called."

"I'm sorry I need help."

"I'm sorry I took up your time."

Friend...

Why are we apologizing for taking up space in a world God intentionally put us in?

Now don't get me wrong. If you accidentally backed your shopping cart into somebody at Walmart because you were busy reading the Little Debbie display... by all means, apologize. 😂

But somewhere along the way, a whole lot of us—especially women—started apologizing for things that don't even require an apology.

Having feelings.

Setting boundaries.

Saying no.

Needing rest.

Changing our minds.

Growing.

Existing.

It's almost like we've convinced ourselves we're only valuable if we're making life easier for everyone else.

Can I tell you something?

Jesus never apologized for telling the truth.

He never apologized for resting.

He never apologized for walking away from crowds when He needed time with the Father.

He loved people completely... but He never let people convince Him He had to be everything to everybody.

That's a lesson I'm still learning.

For years I thought being "nice" meant saying yes to everything.

Then one day I realized...

Every time I said yes to something I didn't have the time, energy, or emotional capacity for... I was saying no to something else.

Usually myself.

Usually my family.

Usually my peace.

Bestie... protecting your peace isn't selfish.

It's stewardship.

God didn't give you one life so you could spend all of it trying to keep people from being disappointed.

Some folks are gonna be disappointed no matter what you do.

You could hand them a winning lottery ticket and they'd complain they had to drive to the gas station to cash it.

That's not your burden to carry.

So this week...

Quit apologizing for taking up the space God gave you.

Speak up.

Take the nap.

Say no when you need to.

Order the fries.

Drink the coffee while it's still hot.

And remember...

Your worth isn't measured by how convenient you are for everyone else.

It's measured by the One who created you.

☕ Coffee Question of the Week

What's one thing you've caught yourself apologizing for that you really didn't need to apologize for?

Let's talk about it in the comments. 💕

☕ One Last Sip...

Here's your reminder this week...

You don't have to shrink so other people feel bigger.

Walk confidently in who God created you to be.

And don't apologize for it.

See ya next Monday, bestie... the coffee's on me. ☕💕
