An Open Letter to My Husband on His Birthday ❤️😂
To my hubs,
Happy Birthday!
I thought long and hard about what to get the man who has everything.
Then I remembered...
You already have me.
You're welcome. 🤣
Honestly though...
After all these years together, I figured you deserved something money can't buy.
Public embarrassment.
So here we are.
😂
First of all...
I'd like to thank you for surviving life with me.
I know that probably deserves some kind of award.
Or at the very least...
Hazard pay.
Because living with Redneck Cinderella is basically like living inside a reality show where nobody gets the script ahead of time.
One day I'm starting a podcast.
The next day I'm opening another business.
The day after that I'm researching something completely random because my ADHD took the scenic route.
And somehow...
You just roll with it.
I appreciate that more than you know.
Thank you for pretending not to notice when another Amazon package magically appears on the porch.
I know you noticed.
We both know you noticed.
Thank you for never asking,
"Do we really need another coffee mug?"
Because deep down...
You already know the answer.
It's yes.
Always yes.
🤣
Thank you for listening to every one of my,
"Hey babe... I have an idea..."
Even though history has taught you those five words usually involve paint, podcast equipment, chickens, websites, or me spending your Saturday helping me with something I promised would "only take a few minutes."
We both know that's a lie.
😂
Thank you for staying calm when I lose something.
Because while I'm convinced it has disappeared forever...
You somehow find it in approximately twelve seconds.
Then politely resist the urge to remind me it was exactly where I left it.
Most of the time.
🤣
Thank you for asking where the feather on your pillow came from.
I know...
You didn't expect your wife to immediately answer,
"Your feather pillow... where else would it have come from?"
In my defense...
I forgot we own about 7,462 birds.
😂🪶
Thank you for putting up with my running commentary.
About life.
About the farm.
About people.
About absolutely nothing.
And thank you for laughing.
Because somehow...
You still laugh at my jokes.
Even the ones you've heard twelve times.
I also want to thank you for being the steady one.
When I'm dreaming up the next adventure...
You're figuring out how to build it.
When my ideas are bouncing off the walls...
You're quietly making them possible.
You probably don't even realize how much you've helped shape this crazy little life we've built together.
And speaking of crazy...
I know you don't understand why I have an app for everything.
And I don't understand how you have an app for absolutely nothing.
Seriously...
How are you surviving in 2026 with a phone that looks like it just came out of the box?
It's honestly impressive.
😂📱
The truth is...
Life has looked different than either of us imagined.
There have been really hard days.
Really funny days.
Really messy days.
And some unbelievably beautiful ones.
Through all of them...
You've been there.
You don't ask for attention.
You don't need applause.
You just quietly love your family, work hard, and show up every single day.
That's one of the things I admire most about you.
So today...
I hope you know how much you're loved.
Not just by me.
But by everyone whose life is better because you're in it.
Happy Birthday to my favorite handyman...
My biggest supporter...
My best friend...
And the only man I know who can somehow survive life with Redneck Cinderella and still smile at the end of the day.
I love you.
Even if you still refuse to download an app.
Love,
Your slightly chaotic wife ❤️
