Coffee with Redneck Cinderella #12: The People Who Feel Like Home Real conversations. Real life. Real coffee. Every Monday morning. ☕❤️
Good mornin', bestie! ☕
Have you ever noticed that some people just feel like home?
Not because of where they live.
Not because their house is fancy.
Not because everything is picture perfect.
But because the minute you walk through their door...
You can exhale.
You don't have to pretend.
You don't have to impress anybody.
You don't have to apologize for showing up in leggings, messy hair, and yesterday's sweatshirt.
Matter of fact...
They'll probably hand you a cup of coffee before you even sit down. 😂
Those are my kind of people.
You know the ones I'm talking about.
The people who let you laugh until your stomach hurts.
The ones who check on you for no reason.
The ones who don't disappear when life gets messy.
The ones who know you've cried, doubted yourself, made mistakes, and occasionally lost your mind in the Walmart parking lot...
...and they love you anyway.
Those people are rare.
Hold onto them.
Life has a funny way of teaching you the difference between people who enjoy your company...
...and people who genuinely care about your heart.
One group celebrates you when life is easy.
The other shows up when life falls apart.
And sometimes, they don't even know what to say.
They just sit beside you.
Honestly...
Those are the friends who change your life.
I've learned that friendship isn't measured by how often you talk.
It's measured by how safe you feel when you do.
You can go weeks without speaking.
Then one phone call later...
It's like no time has passed.
Those friendships are gifts.
God never intended for us to do life alone.
He created us for community.
For encouragement.
For carrying one another's burdens.
For celebrating each other's victories.
For showing up with casseroles when words aren't enough.
(If you're from the South, you know casseroles are basically our love language. 🤣)
So today...
Text that friend.
Call your mama.
Invite somebody over for coffee.
Tell the people who feel like home that you're thankful for them.
Don't assume they know.
Sometimes the smallest words leave the biggest impact.
☕ Coffee Question of the Week
Who is someone in your life that just feels like home?
Tag them if they're on Facebook...
Or better yet...
Call them after you finish your coffee.
I bet it'll make their whole day.
☕ One Last Sip...
Home isn't always a place.
Sometimes...
It's a person.
Be thankful for the people who make you feel seen, loved, and accepted exactly as you are.
And if you're lucky enough to have someone like that...
Don't wait for a special occasion to tell them.
Life's too short for unspoken gratitude.
See ya next Monday, bestie... the coffee's on me. ☕💕
